Synthetic biology is a broad field that involves harnessing biological tools to design artificial biological systems. Designing new systems involves assembling novel genomes and corresponding models; this can give new functions to organisms or produce desired biological products more efficiently. Synthetic biology requires interdisciplinary efforts, spanning across systems biology, mathematics, bioinformatics, engineering, and more. Learn more by attending our workshops!
